Big Day Tomorrow

* Our new lounge room furniture arrives tomorrow which means the computer will get moved out of the spare bedroom. So I can finally start unpacking baby clothes. Looking forward to having new furniture!
* Only 6 weeks left to go of work- I finish working about 5 weeks before my due date. Though baby could come sooner if Kalyani was anything to go by.
* Finding this last stretching so tiring... there's not enough hours in the day to rest. And I do find it frustrating not having the energy levels I am use to.
* Also tomorrow I would like to re-plant some seeds in our no-dig veggie garden we laid out last weekend. (photos to come). Obviously the chooks didn't understand that it was no-dig and demolished a section of it digging around.
* And one week to kerbside so a great time to dump all the stuff we no longer need. Though apparently this one all doors have to be removed on white goods in case children become entrapped. How many kids go around climbing into old chest freezers and washing machines??
* Then we have a valuation of our house tomorrow. Wonder how much the value has decreased since we bought it?

Birthday at Easter!

Last year I was really sick on my birthday. This year I was sick the week after. So much better timing! I had a great birthday- sharing birthday cake for breakfast with Kalyani and Hit. Kalyani had great fun blowing candles out. Then we had dinner at our house with 8 friends and family. Just managed to fit us all in to our dinning room/ kitchen.

Gorgeous birthday flowers from work.

Putting candles in a carrot cake to have for breakfast. Setting up for dinner.

We had a really warm Easter which is a bit unusual for this time of the year. Kalyani decided this was her beach and that she wanted to go for a swim in it. Great fun!

Busy, Busy, Too Busy!

So much so that my prayer request lately has been that I have wisdom to say no more and take time to rest. Along that lines today was lovely because we hung out at home most of the day and then went and had ice creams at a park in the late afternoon. Gorgeous autumn weather too!

Some very country Aussie photos despite the fact that we live in the city. The hay is a trial thing for a vegie garden a friend is going to help me with. Apparently if you give it to the chooks for a couple of weeks they work their magic on it (poo and scratch lots) and then it can be added to the garden to enrich the soil. Well that's the plan!

Then the photo of the sheep was taken from the park down the road we go to regularly. Its kind of funny- one side of the park is council buildings, shops and fast food places. Then the other side is a semi-rural property.

For those who have the time Sally Clarkson has written a great post on her blog about living a contented live especially in times of difficulty. I thought it was very helpful!
